My uncle has had a small boat since I was a little kid in the 80s. Back in 2010, he took my aunt and my sisters and me out for a little cruise for the first time in almost 20 years, and I was able to catch these shots of Coney Island Beach.

With gentrification running wild in my hometown, as well as in other parts of Brooklyn, I can’t help but wonder if old school bodegas like this will also fade away eventually.

Although I am no longer a church-goer, I was pretty much raised in this church, and always liked the imagery of St. Michael crushing Satan. I took this photo back in 2007. If I remember correctly, the statue used be gold in color. Don’t know why they painted it gray.
