It’s science! From Metro:
Chewing up blotters of a powerful hallucinogen for breakfast might not seem like an obvious way to focus better at work.
But scientists who advocate ‘microdosing’ claim that taking smaller doses of LSD in the morning can help people focus on work – and even perform better at sport.
A popular Reddit forum claims that dosing with 10-15 micrograms of the powerful hallucinogen (the normal dose is 100 micrograms plus) doesn’t cause hallucinations – but offers energy instead.
In an in-depth feature on Alternet, psychedelics advocates including 65-year-old businesswomen claim that the drug offers a useful boost.
Psychedelics researcher Dr James Fadiman – who worked with LSD until it was banned until 1966 – said, ‘“Micro-dosing turns out to be a totally different world. As someone said, the rocks don’t glow, even a little bit.
Fadiman claims that users enjoy incresed focus, emotional clarity and creativity.
‘But what many people are reporting is, at the end of the day, they say, ‘That was a really good day.’ You know, that kind of day when things kind of work.
‘You’re doing a task you normally couldn’t stand for two hours, but you do it for three or four. You eat properly. Maybe you do one more set of reps. Just a good day. That seems to be what we’re discovering.’
